What is the Certified Property Owners program?
Dogs Welcome is proud to offer a property certification program for hosts who want to fully embrace welcoming dogs to stay with them. All Dogs Welcome Certified properties commit to the following in order to receive certification:
No Pet fees! (Although some hosts may require a refundable pet deposit)
Host provide blankets/covers for furniture or has leather furniture so that Fido is welcome on furniture
Host provides a pet first aid kit
Hosts provide cleaning supplies: vacuum/broom, enzyme based cleaner, for pet stains, and dog towels so that guests can clean up any accidents or excess mess/hair
Hosts provide dog bowls, poop bags, and pet blankets/towels because dogs are welcome with them!
Hosts provide phone numbers to local veterinary hospitals as well as emergency clinic
How does it work? What’s the benefit? How can folks get certified?
One of Dogs Welcome’s missions is to support and encourage hosts to create a welcoming, safe, and easy to keep clean property, for their two and four legged guests, and has a certification program to help encourage this way of hosting.
At Dogs Welcome we believe that providing travelers with tools to help keep host’s property clean and undamaged is the key to limiting damage and excess mess, and helps keep hosts, and guests, happy!
Once certified, hosts will receive a Dogs Welcome Certified Property badge to proudly display on their website and/or listing, as well as being listed as a certified property on the Dogs Welcome website allowing travelers to not only see your commitment to welcoming dogs, but also show up when the “Dogs Welcome Certified” filter is used during property searches as well as standing out above other hosts when a search is done in your state.
You’ll also receive FREE advertising, in the forms of posts promoting their property, on the Dogs Welcome Facebook page and group as well as in our monthly email blasts to a large, and ever growing, audience!
Certifications cost $99 for one year and can be renewed annually.
